Pippa has much experience providing music for functions and events and has played amongst others at the Courtauld Institute (Somerset House), the Queen's House and Painted Hall (Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich) and at the Chateau du Lac de Genval, Belgium.

Duo Cello

Duo Cello, Pippa Rans and Ruth Beedham, was formed in the summer of 2004 from a desire to explore the rich but unknown repertoire of this great combination. They have since played, amongst others, recitals at Hyde Park Chapel, St Mary le Strand and St Magnus the Martyr, and at functions at 30 St Mary Axe (The Gherkin), City Hall, Channel 4, the Reform Club, Hampton Court Palace, the Royal Academy of Arts and on board the Cutty Sark.

Audiences and clients at these high-profile events include the Duke of Edinburgh, Sir Nicholas Serota, Sir David Attenborough and Anton Mosimann to name a few! They have also been active in expanding the repertoire for this combination and commissioned a piece from Lee Armstrong. He wrote his 'Suite for Two Cellos' for Duo Cello, which they premièred on 26th January 2006 at St Olave Church, London.

The String Quartet consists of graduates of major British Music Conservatoires and enjoy busy freelance careers working with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the RTE National Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra

Notable Quartet performances include recitals at the Wigmore Hall and the Royal Opera House and performances at Addington Palace and Wembley Arena for Andrea Bocelli, the Queen's Jubilee celebrations, Bryn Terfel, Tasmin Little, Il Divo, Sir Thomas Allen, Russell Watson, Katherine Jenkins and G4.

They are also regularly invited as guest entertainers on board the Saga Cruise Ships, with whom they have sailed to Norway, Greenland, St Petersburg, Tallinn, New York, Boston, Canada, Cape Town, Zanzibar, and many other destinations.

The Quartet regularly perform at functions and weddings and have a huge range of repertoire to suit your event.
